My new stuff is totally different, its nothing like what I’ve made before. It’s made using different instruments and tools. It’s like if you made a car out of wood - it’s still a car, but it’s made out of wood. I think it might be the best thing I’ve ever made. It’s not done yet. It should be done by January, but hopefully before then. I always have ideas of what I wanna do next. I like to work fast, the longer you spend working on shit, it’s just a waste. Just hurry up and finish the shit. It’ll never be perfect, it’s just gotta be close.

I’m reposting what Fat Tony has already pointed out below, but it bears repeating: B L A C K I E’s True Spirit And Not Giving A Fuck was unleashed today. Not only is it out, but also Mike is giving this release away for free, living up to the album’s name.
Oh, and Andrew Noz, of some little music site called Fader, bothered to mention it. FADER! That is awesome. Congratulations Mike, and thanks for the new music. As Tony mentions below, lyrics are included so that you don’t have to try to decipher all that yelling. While your album downloads, stream this powerful track, “Warchild.”

Read below for an excellent tour recap from Fat Tony. Sounds like all is well and went well.
BLACK AMERIKKKA TOUR 2K11 was a blast. Successful run of spreading wild ass rap music, posicore vibes, and that down & dirty H-Town flavor. Much love & many thanks to my buddy B L A C K I E for letting a nigga ride and open up many dates! B L A C K I E got more dates to go on the tour while I take my ass home. Peep the remaining dates in my beloved tour dates section up top.
Shoutout A.D.D. and Lord Hightower for rolling along on this lil adventure too. Y’all company was delightful. ^_^
Went all over the south, the east, and POP MONTREAL 2011. Learned many things from this tour, like what it’s like to really miss home, my family, the love of my life, and having a bed & good food daily. A man can’t live on pride alone.
Montreal was too trill. In fact, I’ma call it Montrill. You like that? Yeah, nigga. Was my 1st time outside of America and can’t wait to venture off again. Only got hassled by border patrol getting into New York state rather than getting into Canada. Sorry we didn’t have any drugs for you, boys.
Met my new favorite female french canadian rap duo INSTITUTIONAL PROSTITUTION out in MTL. I think I’m in lurve.Ip is a band who would love to be either Jacques Rivette or Mis krazie.
Ip is really into contemporary dance, reggeaton and community center shows with teenagers.
Ip is violons and fluoranscent lights.
Ip steals from your Grocery Stores and organizes funeral for your car.
They that next wave, that new future, that new new. For all the teenagers in all the community centers worldwide. Holla holla holla.
Hear them: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheInstitutional and Love them: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002165876688
Drove from MTL to ATL today and yesterday. In Atlanta hotel right now hanging out and it’s off to home in Houston tomorrow. Here today, gone tomorrow.
I’ll be out on the road around Texas again soon w/ Das Racist, Danny Brown, and Despot on their RELAX tour. Check tour dates in my tour section, fool. See y’all soon!

Saturday Showday (Er, Night): BummerFest, The Mathletes, and more.
Saturday’s full of music! Just absolutely chock full of fantastic local music. I’ve been wanting to highlight all of these, and unfortunately my busy schedule has pushed this to the last minute. Better that than never, though. Here’s a look at few shows I wish I didn’t have to pick between.
The Mathletes vs. Houston at Fitzgerald’s.
This is sure to be an epic show. It’s the release party for The Mathletes’ new album, Excalibur, and has a stacked lineup. Plus, this whole “versus” set thing, about which I’m still not entirely clear. Maybe it means that the acts will trade songs. Maybe it’s a combined effort - I have no idea. That B L A C K I E vs. The Wiggins set will surely be one of the loudest of the year, though. The new Giant Princess stuff I saw at SummerFest was really good, and that Hearts Of Animals/Christopher Cascio set should be really cool, too. 5 buckaroos.

Bummer Tapes: Bummerfest at Ponde Rosa.
This show will likely be hot as hell, and features a slew of local punk and hardcore acts. Officially, this is the release show for Noguey’s tape (yup, tape) and I believe a Crime Wave tape release as well. If you’re into all the dirty, scummy, lovable punk this town churns out (and sells on eBay for big money), don’t miss this show. There’s yet another Hamamatsu Tom act, and Sleuth features Jake and Will of Steamboat Ampworks. It starts early, so you could always pop by and catch part of it before heading to something else. 7 dollars, BYOB.

Hollywood Black, The Black Tie Operation at Mango’s.
This one is almost nostalgia for me. Still, Hollywood Black is one of my favorite local acts to watch: lot’s of fun, the crowd usually knows a song or three, and they’re nice guys to boot. Ese is also on this bill. 5 Washingtons.
Two Star Symphony at Cactus Music.
Star your Saturday of music off early with a stop at Cactus to catch Two Star Symphony. They’re fun folks that play classical music, with influes ranging from Shostakovich to Dr. Dre. As always, there’ll be some free St. Arnold’s flowing from the tap as well. 1 PM, Free as dirt.
Saturday Night: By The End Of Tonight Reunion At Fitzgerald's - Rocks Off
This show was so much fun. Check out my review over at the Houston Press.
