New Fat Tony rap song, “Wife Plot.” Go jam it. P.S. This is hosted via venerable indie blog Brooklyn Vegan’s Soundcloud account. It’s always nice to see Tony get some more recognition.

Congrats to Fat Tony for getting some press in SPIN Magazine this month. Check out that wild infographic as well.
Cool new cover story in the latest issue of SPIN talking all about the new underground rap world where people like myself rap really, really well, operate independently, tour all kinds of clubs & venues all year long, and collaborate with all sorts of smart/weird/interesting/extra throwed artists from all around America such as Das Racist, Danny Brown, A$AP Rocky and more. Read more at SPIN.com: Live from the New Underground: SPIN Celebrates Hip-Hop’s DIY Moment
This extremely dense infographic of the new industry/new underground rap world even lists Fat Tony under the new sect of “working class rappers” within the new underground rap music scene alongside ill niggas like Murs, Big K.R.I.T., G-Side, Dopehead, and more. Honored. Let’s keep it poppin. Read more at SPIN.com: An Insanely Obsessive Infographic Tries (in Vain) to Diagram the Hip-Hop Galaxy

Not dead over here people, just been recuperating. Look forward to more content this week. For now, here’s some fun photos of Tony performing at The Mohawk in Austin last weekend.
Photos from Fun Fun Fun Fest Nites #2 at the Mohawk (Friday, November 4th), one of the several wild ‘n’ loose after parties they threw over the festival weekend. All pictures are from my set right before Big Freedia where I rapped really well to hundreds of drunks in a room that can barely fit 10 skinny children comfortably including famous people Reggie Watts and Ryan Gosling.
Many thanks to The Bar Bat for capturing Austin at its wildest. See more of his photos here: http://thebarbat.dphoto.com
Fat Tony, Big Freedia, Cold Cave, and Glass Candy… we all slayed.

Aboveground Money
Fat Tony at Fun Fun Fun Fest November 4: MyFoxHOUSTON.com
Fat Tony is in the hunt for some of that “aboveground money.” Check his appearance on Fox 26 this morning.
Favorite quote: “I know some of the other things you mention…”
Fat Tony came onstage around 10:30 p.m. and killed it, as per usual. He did that thing where he raps like he’s having a conversation with someone.
- Allison Wagoner
Last Night: Das Racist At Fitzgerald’s - Rocks Off
Like I said, we’re happy to have Allison chipping in over here at HTR. You should head over to Rocks Off and read her review of the Das Racist show on Wednesday.

Fat Tony gets a nod from the Village Voice, who tracked him down at CMJ. We love you, Tony. Looks like your priorities are in all the right places.
Thanks Village Voice for catching me stumbling through The Fader Fort at this past CMJ 2011 and asking me the tough questions about food and what’s in my pockets. Y’all were pretty cool. Love you, Puja Patel.
And many thanks to L.A.’s finest stylist Karolyn Pho for the hoop earring with three dangling crosses I rocked rather well. http://thetranslation.tumblr.com
Shoutout Trill City Kings too for the hat! Holler. The band: Fat Tony
Where they’re from: Houston
What are you doing next?
I’m playing two shows. The first is the BPM show on Houston that my homeboy Jason Scott Henderson is putting it on. After that I’m doing a show with me, Ninjasonik, Japanther and a whole bunch of others who are gonna rage in that shit.
What’s the best show that you’ve been to at CMJ?
I can’t even lie. I don’t know where I’ve been at all but I know that I’m here right now. You feel me?
What non-CMJ thing do you want to do while you’re in New York?
I wanna smoke some of the finest weed New York has to offer. I want to pay my respects to all the New York legends that are out there doing their thing. And I want to drink a lot of rum. Whiskey is tight too. Shout out to all the rich people who put money into the open bars for CMJ. Y’all are doing a great job of helping me get faded.
What makes up your survival kit for CMJ?
I survive strictly on pizza, soda water, marijuana, alcohol, and good vibes. And my friends. Yes, I am crashing at a friend’s place. I haven’t reached the status of having rich people pay for my hotel just yet but hopefully I will next year.
What’s in your pockets right now?
In my pockets right now? A yellow comb and a beautiful phone. It’s a smart-phone, by the way, because I’m a smart guy.
What was the last thing you ate?
Two slices of pizza and a combination of Tropicana fruit punch and Tropicana lemonade. That’s all I’ve eaten today and probably all I will eat for the rest of the night.

Read below for an excellent tour recap from Fat Tony. Sounds like all is well and went well.
BLACK AMERIKKKA TOUR 2K11 was a blast. Successful run of spreading wild ass rap music, posicore vibes, and that down & dirty H-Town flavor. Much love & many thanks to my buddy B L A C K I E for letting a nigga ride and open up many dates! B L A C K I E got more dates to go on the tour while I take my ass home. Peep the remaining dates in my beloved tour dates section up top.
Shoutout A.D.D. and Lord Hightower for rolling along on this lil adventure too. Y’all company was delightful. ^_^
Went all over the south, the east, and POP MONTREAL 2011. Learned many things from this tour, like what it’s like to really miss home, my family, the love of my life, and having a bed & good food daily. A man can’t live on pride alone.
Montreal was too trill. In fact, I’ma call it Montrill. You like that? Yeah, nigga. Was my 1st time outside of America and can’t wait to venture off again. Only got hassled by border patrol getting into New York state rather than getting into Canada. Sorry we didn’t have any drugs for you, boys.
Met my new favorite female french canadian rap duo INSTITUTIONAL PROSTITUTION out in MTL. I think I’m in lurve.Ip is a band who would love to be either Jacques Rivette or Mis krazie.
Ip is really into contemporary dance, reggeaton and community center shows with teenagers.
Ip is violons and fluoranscent lights.
Ip steals from your Grocery Stores and organizes funeral for your car.
They that next wave, that new future, that new new. For all the teenagers in all the community centers worldwide. Holla holla holla.
Hear them: http://www.youtube.com/user/TheInstitutional and Love them: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002165876688
Drove from MTL to ATL today and yesterday. In Atlanta hotel right now hanging out and it’s off to home in Houston tomorrow. Here today, gone tomorrow.
I’ll be out on the road around Texas again soon w/ Das Racist, Danny Brown, and Despot on their RELAX tour. Check tour dates in my tour section, fool. See y’all soon!

FAT TUMBLONY: 2010 Summer California Tour
This 2 week trip to California rejuvenated my lust for life. Spent 1 week in Sacramento visiting my girlfriend’s Filipno family for the first time and another week traveling between L.A., Riverside, Pomona, and Moreno Valley rapping in front of people. Out in L.A. even got to see the homies …
Check out this great tour recap from Fat Tony; it’s worth a look from you. We love seeing our H-Town folks having a good time on tour, both for their sake and for the audiences they encounter.
