Dig This Vol. VII - Rocks Off

Well, it seems that Young Girls is ending, like far too many good Houston acts do. Before that, they’ll open for Davila 666 on Saturday, though, so catch them while you can.

(Edit: Pete Tijerina chimed up to inform us that Young Girls is not breaking up, but rather taking a break to record. Hooray! Sorry for any confusion.)

If you’ve nothing to do tonight, may I highly recommend the following show, which will kick off in just a few hours. The ladies and fellows in football, Etc. and Square & Compass are fine folks, and you can probably find enough money in your couch cushions to gain entry to this. Plus, Vinyl Junkie is a kickass record store, and I’m pretty thrilled that Titus moved down to Houston and dropped it in our lap. Aside from the two local emo and hardcore acts, alson on the bill are Yes, Inferno (San Antonio instrumental post-rock, Pswingset (Austin indie rock) and Reverse The Curse (Hiram, OH). Pswingset is known to contain half of Papermoons, which is a pretty good indication.
