Also, if you missed it I shot The Black Angels show at Fitzgerald’s two weeks ago. Craig’s review was quite good as well.

Taking Out The Trash: Pure Rubbish Reunites - Rocks Off

Pure Rubbish is playing a reunion show tonight. Check out the interview I did with Evan Dunivan, the drummer, for the Houston Press.
RO: What’s been ICP’s relationship with Houston these past two decades?
VJ: I’ll be honest, Texas is my favorite state, and that’s above my home state of Michigan. Texas, hands down. My baby’s mama is from Houston. She has that Houston ass. It must be in the water or the barbecue or something.

ICP’s Violent J Talks Texas, Faygo & The Juggalo Family - Houston Music - Rocks Off
Having endured my fair share of Faygo dousing and dodging (thus far I’ve managed to keep my photo gear safe), I will say that no concert experience is quite like that of ICP.
Next week, Craig Hlavaty and I will venture into the fray once more, but for now you should read his entertaining interview with Violent J.
Whoop whoop, folks. See you soon.

Bun B day in Houston, TX
“I’d like to take this opportunity to tell the City Council that I am available 24-7/365 when it comes to the children of Houston as well as the surrounding cities and communities. Whenever the city needs me, I am more than willing and able to answer the call.”
Came across this photo of Bun B receiving his proclamation back in August. I just love his expression here.
