Side Project Saturday at Mango’s. I wanted to take a quick minute to spotlight Saturday’s show at Mango’s, as it features a brand new local band, Mikey & The Drags. The Drags include former McKenzies frontman Miguel Ponce, and will be making their debut with this gig. I believe this is also the first show for Mario Rodriguez’s Bang Bangz project - you might know Mario from Tax The Wolf. Fernando of Somosuno trots out his well-versed side project Papaya, and Second Lovers rounds out the bill. All this will run you a scant five bones.
